The observation came before the framework.
The story
Working as an Experience and Growth lead at one of the Magnificent Seven tech companies, I was responsible for monitoring web performance and lead performance side by side.
Traffic was falling. Across the industry, not just us. Our SEO team was benchmarking against peers to understand how much of the decline was structural versus specific to us. We were not an outlier. The drop was happening everywhere.
But the leads held. And then they climbed.
The instinct at the time was to call it a conversion rate improvement. On paper, it looked like one. Three conversions from 100 visitors is a better rate than three from 150. But we were not converting more. We were receiving fewer visitors who were not ready to convert, and the ones who did arrive were better qualified.
That distinction matters enormously. And most businesses are still misreading it.
The conclusion
The journey had not shortened.
It had moved.
AI had already started doing the research, comparison, and evaluation that used to happen on your website. By the time a visitor clicked through, they were not browsing. They were validating. The funnel had compressed, not disappeared.
The sites that benefited were not the ones with the most traffic or the biggest budgets. They were the ones whose content AI could actually read, extract, and cite. That is a structural problem. And it has a structural fix.
Xyra exists because that observation needed a framework and a methodology. Specifically one that goes beyond the technical layer, which most tools already cover, and into the buyer journey and content layers where the decision actually happens.

The differentiator
UX Director with a growth marketing mindset.
Most UX work stops at the experience. The journey is designed, the flows are mapped, the interface is clean. But if it does not convert, it is just an excursion.
My background is in mapping customer journeys not just for better experience but for better outcomes. Conversion is the measure. Pipeline is the proof. That is what the audit is built around, and it is what makes the findings commercially actionable rather than just observationally interesting.
